Belize with the truck - 2002

Oklahoma Sunset on the way down, and a Frank Loyd Wright designed tower

Dallas skyline at night

Ruins at Pelenque were fun - good place to find camping. And the nearby waterfall at Miso-Ha

A stop in the fishing village - Merida

We stopped in the walled city of Campeche.

Then headed off across the penninsula and really enjoyed Chichen Itsa
Where we camped in the yard at the Pyramid Inn, when Chichen Itsa explorers stayed decades ago.

and swimming in the undergroud caves (Dzitnup)

Cancun looked so sterile and boring with all it grand resorts, we hit the money machine and kept going South to Playa del Carmen, where at least there were folks out walking about. Lots of Europeans here.

The Belize zoo was a favorite

We camped at teh Trek Stop, right on the belize - Guatemala border

Made some friends (Mira and her Moms)

Iguanas were everywhere
